ZEHNDER'S SPLASH VILLAGE HOTEL AND WATERPARK Opens on June 17

Frankenmuth, Mi - April 24, 2005 -- With reservations already peaking for this summer, Zehnder's Splash Village Hotel and Waterpark will officially open in Friday, June 17, 2005. Construction on the 30,000 square foot indoor waterpark and 152-room hotel is on schedule. Next month 140,000 gallons of water will pour into the pool areas as work continues on interior aquatic features. Splash Village is located next to Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, Mich.

"we are extremely pleased with our advanced bookings. People are very eager to have a year round family destination close to home," said Zehnder's of Frankenmuth Chairman and CEO Al Zehnder. "Construction is on schedule. The exterior facade has giant tube slides in place that pop in and out of the waterpark structure. In May we will complete work on 63 new hotel suites and begin installing furnishings." All of the new suites feature fireplaces, some have whirlpools and can accommodate 4-8 guests.

A towering and playful 26-foot tree will be the prominent feature in the new hotel lobby with a large gas fireplace built into the trunk. The tree is the work of NatureMaker®, a California based design firm and the originator of the Steel Art Tree™. NatureMaker trees have emerged as major design elements at prestigious resorts, casinos, retailers, museums, libraries, zoos, nature centers, commercial buildings, hotels and residences. Each tree, perfectly balanced and magnificently detailed, stands as a one-of-a-kind ode to nature. The Splash Village tree will include elves and fairies as part of the waterpark's overall whimsical theme.

Waterpark Features

Giggling Gorge and Perilous Plunge -- giant tube slides -- will flow into the Crooked Brook Creek, a lazy river that winds through the waterpark. Toddlers can frolic with ease in the Wee Folk Springs area, and the Dragon Fly Pond will be filled with fun water play features. A large play structure, Splash Landing, features a dumping bucket that will dump more than 400 gallons of water at surprise intervals. The tube slide stairs, Tree Dwellers Tower, will keep visitors busy and wet, and the Whimsical Whirl is a large hot tub perfect for mom and dad. Additional waterpark features include geysers and water sprays.

A new 125-seat restaurant, Elf Hollow Cafe, will serve breakfast and lunch daily. For those guests who seek dry land, a 2,000 square foot arcade will have several of the latest video games.
