Zehnder’s plays host to the American Culinary Federation Professional Chefs 25th Annual Hot Food Competition on January 30, 2017. Culinary students and local chefs will compete in the finale event of Zehnder’s Snowfest from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. within 4 categories – Seafood, Poultry, Pork and Pastry. This year’s event features “a Culinary Salute to Oktoberfest” with proceeds benefiting the Saginaw East Side Soup Kitchen After School Dinner Program.

For only $30, spectators can enjoy the grand buffets which includes German favorites prepared and served by the culinary students of Saginaw Career Center and Tuscola Technical Center in Caro. The program also includes live entertainment by Lynda Lee – nationally known polka artist – and the opportunity to sample over 22 culinary competitor’s creations. Get out of the cold and enjoy a slice of German paradise! Sponsored by Zehnder’s Restaurant, Hofbrauhaus (official sponsor of Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany) and Michigan Sugar.

Zehnder’s Snowfest celebrates 26 years of snow-filled fun for more than 150,000 festival attendees. A great winter event for the entire family, the festival presents world class snow sculpture championships, State of Michigan and high school snow sculpting competitions, and the US National Collegiate Ice Carving Competition.
