First I would like to say that the Frankenmuth Snow/Ice fest is a wonderful event for the community and I enjoyed it again this year. I would like to give a suggestion that I hope you will take into consideration. I have been at the fest for several years now and I see how it has grown by more visitator’s each and every year. Due to the construction and parking at a minimum, it was extremely difficult to find or locate parking for this event. With the traffic on the main road and even with police monitoring traffic, it was difficult to walk on sidewalks due to extreme amount of visitator’s and it would be much better for visitator’s and guests to have designated parking areas and have the main street closed so the visitator’s can use the streets to get around the events.

I hope you can take this suggestion into consideration for this event for next year

    Thank You,’
    Lisa

We are elderly and would enjoy much better if main street in front of both chicken restaurants were closed for the festival to thru vehicle traffic (except horse and buggy). Traffic could and should be detoured/rerouted. Someone could get hurt. We enjoyed our stay. Many great sculpting events, and a good time had by all of our group (#54 of us). Parking was no issue for us, but can see where it could be for those with a car. A possibility of shuttle bussing to minimize congestion would also be considerate. Thank you in advance, Dave, Joyce and the gang.

Hello, we will submit your suggestion about closing Main Street to the Committee, though it would be a decision for the City of Frankenmuth. Also, we do have shuttle buses running throughout Snowfest in between Zehnder’s Restaurant, the Bavarian Inn, Zehnder’s Splash Village, The Fortress Golf Course and Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland. So glad you enjoyed the festival again this year. Thank you!
