Chef John Zehnder Awarded the Highest Honor by the American Culinary Federation for a Lifetime of Achievement

Executive Chef John Zehnder was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs Honorary Hall of Fame at Caesar’s Forum in Las Vegas on July 26, 2022. Each year, the Board of the Academy selects just one of its members to the Honorary Hall of Fame. This award is the highest honor given by the Academy, recognizing a lifetime of achievement and excellence in the culinary arts.

The Academy of Chefs is the honor society of the American Culinary Federation which is the largest chef’s organization in the United States. The ACF has more than 20,000 chef members from every state in the union.

Chef Zehnder retired from his position as Executive Chef at Zehnder’s Restaurant in Frankenmuth, Michigan after 51 years of dedicated service. He remarked that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.

Chef Zehnder credits his wife Janet for her steadfast support through the years. Over the course of his career, he has overseen the preparation of over 45 million meals.
