The current COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world is a grim reminder of how quickly life can change. One moment things seem to go well and the next minute, life as we knew it seems a distant memory.
While the whole economy is suffering, the hospitality industry has been particularly hard hit. I’m not complaining, it’s just a fact of life. I was watching an interview with Guy Fieri the host of “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives”, he made a statement that kind of stuck with me. “Support your local restaurants”, he commented, “These are the people that have served us for years, it’s now time for us to serve them.” I echo that sentiment.
If you have a favorite local restaurant that has pivoted to providing take-outs, support them, they need it. Many of the employees in the hospitality industry need your support now more than ever before.
Out of an abundance of caution, Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth and all our related properties have decided to ride this out and remain closed.
I hope to welcome you all back as soon as possible and our staff will greet you with the same level of hospitality that generations of our guests have become accustomed.
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay positive. We’ll be here for you.
