Fall is just around the corner. Some of the trees in our area already have tinges of orange and red. Our Fall order of over 54 tons of locally grown Blue Hubbard Squash has been unloaded. Kids are back in school.
Yet as I am writing this, the temperature outside is over 90 degrees! Not really feeling like Fall. I took a quick trip through the waterparks at Splash Village; an environment not welcoming to my tie and long sleeved shirt. The roof was open, humidity filled the air, our outdoor pool patio was full of guests. Everyone was having a great time holding on to the last bits of summer, enjoying the great weather.
Zehnder’s is host to some great Fall events. The 20th Anniversary of The Fortress Cigar Classic. Sponsored by Zehnder’s and Pepsi, this year’s event proves to be better than ever. In addition to 18 holes of golf and four premium cigars, the dinner has an “East Meets West” theme. A traditional New England Clam Bake with Prime Rib from Colorado. If you’re not a golfer, just come for the great meal.
My great-aunt Sophie married an Italian chef John Ardussi. They operated a restaurant for years developing Italian recipes we still enjoy today. On October 13, our Executive Chef, John Zehnder will present a Fall dinner highlighting some of those family favorites. Reservations are required. It would make a great gift or a memorable evening out.
One of our most successful events is our Halloween Bash at Splash. Spread over two weekends, October 20-21 and October 27-28. Our staff goes all out to create a safe, fun environment for our little ghosts and goblins. It’s really Spooktacular. I couldn’t help myself.
Information on these and other events at Zehnder’s can be found at www.zehnders.com.
When you’re out enjoying the colors of autumn, stop in for one of our world famous chicken dinners, browse Zehnder’s Marketplace or play your final round of golf for the season; or maybe some family-time in one of our splashtastic waterparks.
We hope to see you this Fall, it’s just around the corner.
