The Fortress Sanitation Expectations and Procedures

Welcome to The Fortress Golf Course. We are happy to have you as our guest and hope you have an enjoyable round while playing our course. We have implemented some procedures and policies to promote the safety, health, and wellness of our employees and guests. Thank you for adhering to these guidelines.

The following “Social Distancing Guidelines” are required for all golfers:
A. All persons must always maintain 6 feet of distance from each other this includes (parking lot, practice green, tee boxes, pro shop, clubhouse, etc.).
B. The flagstick must ALWAYS remain in the cup and no one should touch the flagstick for any reason.

The following cleaning and sanitation procedures have been added to keep guest and employees safe and healthy at The Fortress. Along with the following cleaning procedures there is added signage to remind guest to wash hands, socially distance and answer any questions or concerns they may have.

All employees working inside will be wearing a mask and we encourage guests who are able to wear a mask inside the pro shop and clubhouse to do so as well.

Pro Shop:

  1. Sanitizing the phones, computer, credit card pin pad and Micros station with sanitizing wipes at the end of each shift (mid-afternoon and evening).
  2. Sanitizing the countertop and countertop items (pens, etc…) with sanitizing wipes at the end of each shift.
  3. Sanitizing the pro shop door handles with sanitizer at the end of each shift.
  4. Having hand sanitizer available at the front counter for guests.
  5. Reminding employees to properly wash hands as frequently as possible.

Food and Beverage:

  1. Sanitizing the phone and Micros station with sanitizer at the end of each shift.
  2. Replacing sanitizer water and towels with new sanitizer every hour.
  3. Cleaning and sanitizing with sanitizer wipes the condiments, seasoning, salt and pepper shakers and any utensils after each guest use.
  4. Sanitizing all tables and chairs with disinfectant after each guest use.
  5. Sanitizing clubhouse door handles and all cooler and refrigerator door handles with sanitizer at the end of each shift.
  6. Sanitizing liquor bottles nightly with sanitizer wipes.
  7. Clean and sanitize all countertops throughout shift.
  8. Having hand sanitizer available for guests.
  9. Reminding employees to actively and frequently wash their hands.

Service Assistants

  1. Requiring employees to wear gloves while cleaning out returned golf carts.
  2. After carts are returned, sanitizing the entire golf cart with a sanitizer spray and letting sit out for 10 minutes.
  3. Cleaning and sanitizing all returned range baskets.
  4. Cleaning and sanitizing on course touch points (ball washers, water fountains, bunker rakes and door handles).
  5. Reminding employees to actively and frequently wash their hands.

At this time there will be no self-serve buffets for any of our golf outings or banquets. All outing and banquet meals will be either pre-packaged, to-go items or served by The Fortress staff.
