Spring How-To Classes – March 15, 2022

We hope that you will join us for one or more of our upcoming Spring How-To Classes! Dates and times are listed below. Reservations are required for all classes and can be made by calling (989) 652-0450 or by booking online below.

Spring How-To Classes Schedule:

Baklava
Class Limit: 18
From 9:00 – 10:30 am or 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Cost $50 per person
You will learn step-by-step from one of our pastry chefs how to create delicious baklava. It is constructed from layers of phyllo dough brushed with butter, filled with a chopped walnut filling and covered in a sweet honey glaze. You will make and take home a 9×13 pan.

Samoa Napoleon
Class Limit: 18

From 12:00 – 1:30 pm or 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Cost $50
You will learn start to finish how to create this new crowd favorite. This napoleon is constructed from flaky puff pastry dough, filled with a caramel whipped cream and topped off with caramel and toasted coconut then drizzled in dark chocolate. You will take home a three layer strip measuring approximately 3×13.

Basket Cake with Bunny Butt
Class Limit: 18
From 9:00 – 10:30 am or 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Cost $60
You will learn from one of our cake decorators how to create this adorable centerpiece cake. You will start with 2 layers of pre-baked 6 inch chocolate cherry cake frosted in our homemade chocolate buttercream. You will be shown how to create a basket design out of frosting and top it off with green frosting grass and an adorable coconut bunny butt made from a mini cupcake. You will take home your cake, a decorating turntable, spatula and 2 decorating tips.

Easter Egg Fruit Pizza
Class Limit: 18

From 12:00 – 1:30 pm or 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Cost $50
You will learn how to create this adorable fruit topped dessert that will be sure to impress guests. You will start by rolling out sugar cookie dough and cutting it into an egg shape. While your cookie bakes, you will make a sweet cream cheese filling to top your cookie with. Once your cookie is baked and topped, you will layer a variety of fresh fruits to make it into a show stopping Easter egg. You will take home a 10×8 fruit pizza.

Strawberry Lemon Brioche Rolls
Class Limit: 18
From 11:00 – 12:30 pm or 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Cost $45
You will learn how to make a spring-time twist on a traditional cinnamon roll. You will start with a rich brioche dough rolled thin and topped with a lemon curd filling then covered in fresh, sliced strawberries. Once rolled, you will cut into a dozen rolls. To top it off, they will be drizzled with a sweet cream cheese icing. While your rolls are baking, you will be shown a demonstration on how to make the dough from scratch and homemade lemon curd. You will take home 12 rolls.

Cream Horns and Puff Pastry Bunnies
Class Limit: 18
From 9:30 – 11:00 am or 1:00 – 2:30 pm
Cost $50
You will learn a simple way to create delicious cream horns from puff pastry dough and filled with a whipped buttercream filling. While your cream horns are baking, you will learn how to turn puff pastry dough and cinnamon into an adorable twisted bunny pastry. These pastries are sure to be a new family favorite. You will take home 6 of each.

Southern Style Gumbo
Class Limit: 18
From 1:00 – 2:30 pm or 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Cost $50
You will learn from our chefs how to make a delicious southern style gumbo with chicken and shrimp. You will learn how to make a dark roux from scratch along with holy trinity vegetables and smoked sausage. Your gumbo will be served with bacon, sharp cheddar and honey cornbread. You will take home approximately 2 quarts of gumbo and a 1/4 pan of corn bread.
