Zehnder’s Snowfest Carvers Create Masterpieces From Ice – See the Top Talent From 2020

[PHOTOS] Despite the warmer temps and rainy weather, the ice carvings turned out as amazing as ever! As part of Zehnder’s Snowfest, college students from across the U.S. competed in a total of four ice carving events over three days for scholarship dollars and other prizes. In addition, Zehnder’s Snowfest hosted the Collegiate Alumni two-event Challenge Friday and Saturday. The Collegiate Alumni 2-Event Challenge brings back past college participants to compete in a team challenge featuring a double block and a five block ice carving competition.

The Winners of the Collegiate Alumni Challenge are:

Gold: Lauren Klapec and Titus Arensberg

Silver: Katlin Pfropper and Vince Terrana

Bronze: Paul Nuznov and Jeff Lao

The overall winners of the National Ice Carving Association U.S. National Collegiate Ice Carving Championship are:

First Place: Andy Wright and Syletta Wilson from Southwestern Oregon Coast Community College

Second Place: Allison Hayes and Gabriella Lumagnto Southwestern Oregon Coast Community College

Third Place: Max Paczkowski and James Ford from Macomb Community College

In addition, Greg Butauski, Award Winning Certified Master Ice Sculptor and team awed visitors with a 85-block themed ice creation display along with the WNEM TV5 news desk. This year’s theme featured “Jurassic Park” including interactive dinosaurs. If you weren’t able to make it this year, you can view the images below.
