Zehnder’s Snowfest – Celebrating 26 Years of Winter Fun for the Whole Family!

Zehnder’s Snowfest has been host to one of the top snow sculpting events in North America for the past 26 years. Visitors have enjoyed larger-than-life snow sculptures and beautifully detailed ice carvings each year.

Zehnder’s Snowfest 2018 will again dazzle and excite you with snow and ice sculptures created by professional ice and snow carvers from around the world.

Zehnder’s Snowfest is also host to the National Collegiate Ice Carving Championship and the High School Snow Sculpting Competition.

Snowfest 2018 highlights include: State of Michigan Snow Sculptors Competition, High School Snow Sculpting Competition, Children’s Play Area, the U.S. National Collegiate Ice Carving Championship, Fireworks, World Class Snow Sculpting Competitions, Michigan’s Favorite Apple Recipe Contest, and the ever popular Warming Tent complete with entertainment like the Rock Show Band, Life Support Rock Band, Allen Turner and the Steel Horse Band and CEYX.

In addition, Zehnder’s Snowfest is proud to welcome back members of the Detroit Tigers as the Tigers Winter Caravan rolls into Frankenmuth on Friday, January 26, 2018 during a special event from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Zehnder’s Warming Tent. Make plans to be part of this great event.

New this year, Wolverine State Brewery and Great Lakes Wine and Spirits will be hosting a Tap Room Takeover located in Zehnder’s Tap Room. Enjoy live music by Whiskey Biscuit and complementary hors d’oeuvres including Brew Wings, Homemade BBQ Chips, Soft Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese, Bacon Wrapped Dates stuffed with Chorizo and a Charcuterie Board. All food will feature a hint of Wolverine State Brewery’s beer.

Monday, January 29th completes Snowfest with the 25th Annual Chef’s Hot Food Competition and Tasting where chefs compete with a “Culinary Salute to the Windy City” at Zehnder’s Restaurant featuring Chicago-style dishes prepared by local chefs and area culinary students. Enjoy food samples and four Grand Buffet tables all for only $30 per person. Proceeds from the competition support the Saginaw East Side Soup Kitchen “After School” Meal Program.
