Location: Zehnder's - Splash Village
Position Title: Lifeguard
Status: Part-Time 20-30 hrs

Job Duties:

• Supervision of aquatic activities to ensure the safety of all participants
• Provide a safe, clean, and friendly environment for Splash Village guests
• Prevent accidents by responding quickly to emergencies
• Administer any first aid needed
• Observe and enforce all rules, regulations and policies
• Attend all aquatic in-service training and staff meetings

Job Requirements:

• Must be certified by the American Red Cross or YMCA life guarding
• Must have First Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR Certification
• Must be able to swim 500 yards and lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be at least 16 years of age

Location: Zehnder's - Elf Hollow Cafe
Position Title: Cook
Status: Part-Time 25-35 hours
Shifts: 5:30am-2:00pm; 7:00am-2:00pm; 2:00pm-11:30; 4:00pm-11:30pm

Job Duties:

• Set-up early morning kitchen facilities of the food production equipment as well as the end of shift closing and cleaning duties.
• Review of the special party/event functions.
• Provide necessary production of foods to have uninterrupted flow of product.
• Daily checking of the coolers and freezers to ensure proper utilization of leftovers and rotation of foods to ensure freshness.
• Compliance of the recipe standards and proper portioning of food items.
• Preparation of employee meals.
• Monitor temperatures of food and cooling units on a regular basis as prescribed by the Saginaw County Health Department.
• Taste, observe and correct issues with food production.
• Communicate with Food and Beverage Department.
• Other duties necessary to run an efficient operation.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to work at a fast-paced, high stress work environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Saturdays, Sundays and holidays a must.

Location: Zehnder's Restaurant
Position Title: Dishworker - Main Kitchen
Status: Part-Time 25-35 hours

Job Duties:

• The daily set-up of the machines in the work area and cleaning of the previous day's dirty dishes.
• Heating of soup cups, plates, odds and other necessities for the opening of business and replacing them in the proper location for use.
• Washing of pots/pans in compliance with the health codes and in proper amounts to user areas.
• Assists servers/service area in the cleaning of dropped trays and spills.
• Assists in the salad/hot line in the event of need.
• Removal of trash, getting laundry and other such odd jobs.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be available for day shifts during the week.
• Able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age.
