Location: Zehnder's - Splash Village
Position Title: Lifeguard
Status: Part-Time 20-30 hrs

Job Duties:

• Supervision of aquatic activities to ensure the safety of all participants
• Provide a safe, clean, and friendly environment for Splash Village guests
• Prevent accidents by responding quickly to emergencies
• Administer any first aid needed
• Observe and enforce all rules, regulations and policies
• Attend all aquatic in-service training and staff meetings

Job Requirements:

• Must be certified by the American Red Cross or YMCA life guarding
• Must have First Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR Certification
• Must be able to swim 500 yards and lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be at least 16 years of age

Location: Zehnder's - Restaurant
Position Title: Hot/Cold Line Server - Main Kitchen
Status: Part-Time 10-30 hrs
Shifts: 11 am - 8 pm, 12 pm - 9 pm, 2 pm - Close, 5 pm - Close

Job Duties:

• The preparation of raw foods to the finished product as instructed by the area supervisor.
• Proper and uniform portioning of foods (hot and cold) as demonstrated by the area supervisor; in accordance to Zehnder’s standards.
• The proper display and appearance of foods for the dining rooms; in accordance to Zehnder’s guidelines.
• Notification of the area supervisor when foods do not appear in taste or appearance as so designated.
• The proper sanitation of the work area as instructed by the area supervisor and in accordance to the Saginaw County Health Department.
• Maintenance of clutter-free and spill-free work area so that the area is safe and non-conducive to injury or accident.
• Assist in the dishing of specialty banquets.
• Assist in the preparation of the Sunday Buffet , Lower Level activities, golf course, and reservation parties as instructed by the area supervisor.
• Assist in the nightly clean up of the work area.
• Maintain the daily bread requisition and other schedules as delegated.
• Set up dessert trays and be involved in the dessert/ice cream programs as delegated.
• Any other duties as requested by management.

Job Requirements:

• Must be available Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Ability to stand and walk continually.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

 

Location: Zehnder's - Restaurant
Position Title: Meat Prep- Main Kitchen
Status: Full-Time; 30-40 hours

Job Duties:

• The par-boiling of the fryers needed for fried chicken, the cooking of heavy hens for sandwich meat, and cooking of giblets for gravy.
• The processing of par-boiled chicken to final prep state, cutting powdering, traying up, and chilling, for fryer use.
• Preparation of soup broth and gravy for dining room use, in accordance to Zehnder’s specifications and in quantities specific.
• The proper rotation of perishable meat and food items in the back room coolers
• Assist in the sanitation and care of the compactor area and the discarded grease area as directed by the dock foreman.
• Any other duties as assigned by Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift 80 lbs on regular basis.
• Able to work a variety of shifts.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

 

Location: Zehnder's Splash Village - Housekeeping
Position Title: Housekeeper
Status: 30-40 hours, 10 am - 4 pm

Job Duties:

• Makes up each guest room which has been occupied to a completely clean, neat, attractive and fresh smelling room
• Cleans rooms by conventional methods using: vacuum cleaner, dusting cloths and cleaning cloths
• Washes fixtures and cleaning jobs at regular intervals such as: washing windows, cleaning lamp shades, washing mirrors, polishing furniture and tasks associated with housekeeping.
• Changes linens completely after each occupancy.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to life 20 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress work environment
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
