On Monday, January 26th, 2009, the American Culinary Foundation - Flint/Sainaw Valley Chapter hosted its 18th annual professional chefs' hot food competition here at Zehnder's Restaurant. This year's theme was the Wild, Wild West, "a culinary salute to cowboy cuisine". Zehnder's culinary team was well represented. Our competing chefs included:

We are proud of each and every one of our culinary staff for competing against the best chefs in Mid-Michigan. Proceeds from this event support the Flint Head Start "Snack Sack Project" that provides weekend take-home breakfast for the 700 four and five year-olds enrolled in the program. ACF Flint/Saginaw Valley chefs are the sole support of this worthwhile project.
