Position: Elf Hollow Cafe Food & Beverage Manager
Reports To: Director of Hotel Operations

Function: Responsible for the coordination of all activities within Elf Hollow, including budgetary planning, scheduling, training on a daily, weekly basis.

Work Performed:

1. The daily operation of Elf Hollow, including food cost, labor cost, and operational cost which includes ordering.
2. Conduct on-going training through monthly meetings covering product knowledge, service expectations, staff/guest interaction.
3. Responsible for proposed menu ideas, daily specials, weekly promotional programs, and proper pricing of products.
4. Communicate regularly with Executive Chef, Kitchen Operations Manager, and Elf Hollow supervisory staff.
5. Maintain consistency in policy/procedures between Zehnder’ Restaurant Food and Beverage and Elf Hollow to ensure they are being met.
6. Does be-weekly/monthly inventories for Elf Hollow and ensures proper percentages/ratios are being maintained, and if not, finding out why/where they are not being maintained.
7. Attend necessary management meetings on a regular basis.
8. Maintain a sanitary/organized work area(s) in accordance with the Saginaw County Health Department and Michigan Department of Health.
9. Ensure that all service standards are being achieved daily.
10. Actively participates in all aspects of Elf Hollow daily.
11. Does/approves yearly performance reviews for supervisory/hourly staff in Elf Hollow.
12. Communicate regularly with Personnel, to ensure proper staff levels.
13. Maintain complete knowledge of emergency procedures including action to be taken for power outages, evacuation due to fire/weather and for medical assistance for customers and employees.
14. Attend various management meetings as required.
15. Any reasonable task/duty to help improve/maintain Food and Beverage team relations.
16. All other duties as assigned or directed.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time. Self-motivated, organized, and have a high level of customer service standards. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Ability to work in a high volume environment.

Education Requirements: Four years experience in high volume food service. Minimum of Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or Business Management. Desire to self improve through continuing education and pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree.

Other Requirements: Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
