There’s Fifteen of Them!

Aug 27, 2026

By Al Zehnder, Chairman of Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth

Frankenmuth is host to 15 festivals and events throughout the year. Beginning with Zehnder’s Snowfest (February 3-7, 2027) and concluding with the Frankenmuth Christmas Experience beginning mid-November.

My favorite of course is Zehnder’s Snowfest, one of the premier snow and ice festivals in the United States, but Frankenmuth Auto Fest runs a close second. This year’s Auto Fest celebrating its 43rd year, begins September 11th and runs through September 13th. The event brings together auto enthusiasts and thousands of cars of all kinds. Everything is represented; antique, street rods, muscle cars and the latest models of domestic and imports. Really something for everyone.

If you can only make one evening come to the Big Block Party on Main Street of Frankenmuth on September 11 from 5-10pm. Closed to traffic, the one-mile stretch is lined with over 2,000 cars, music and festival foods. Around 9pm a spectacular drone show launches behind Zehnder’s. A great family event and best of all it’s free. One of my favorite evenings in Frankenmuth. For complete information, go to www.FrankenmuthAutoFest.net.

So, load up the family and make your way to Frankenmuth for the 2026 Auto Fest. Fun is guaranteed and it’s Pure Michigan.

Hospitably Yours!
