Get Out of the House!

With only 28 days, February is the shortest month of the year. Wouldn’t it be a good idea, and seem as though winter passed a bit quicker, if the first 3 or 4 months of the year only had 28 days? And wouldn’t it seem as though summer lasted longer if we added those days to the 3 or 4 summer months? Am I on to something here?

In any event, the cold and snow (other than Zehnder’s Snowfest which I hope you didn’t miss) can’t pass quickly enough for me. My family is always looking for something to do, if only just to get out of the house.

If you need some ideas to break the routine of winter consider:

1.) Zehnder’s Fish Fry – located in Z-Chef’s Café on the lower level of Zehnder’s. Each Friday evening through Good Friday. While each menu is a bit different, they all feature Yellow Perch from the Great Lakes. Great “date night” idea guys!

2.) Winterlaufe – this is Frankenmuth’s winter running event. It’s an 8k course that winds its way in and around our beautiful city. The date is Saturday, February 4th; check the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce for details and registration. Hey here’s an idea; come to the Friday Fish Fry on February 3rd and run it all off the next morning!

3.) Valentines Day – you know the date, Februay 14th. Bring your sweetest and have a romantic dinner at our world famous restaurant. We have a quiet booth off to the side just waiting for you. After dinner take her to our lower level and stroll Zehnder’s Marketplace; let her pick out something special. She’ll love you for it.
