With only 28 days, February is the shortest month of the year. Wouldnât it be a good idea, and seem as though winter passed a bit quicker, if the first 3 or 4 months of the year only had 28 days? And wouldnât it seem as though summer lasted longer if we added those days to the 3 or 4 summer months? Am I on to something here?
In any event, the cold and snow (other than Zehnderâs Snowfest which I hope you didnât miss) canât pass quickly enough for me. My family is always looking for something to do, if only just to get out of the house.
If you need some ideas to break the routine of winter consider:
1.) Zehnderâs Fish Fry â located in Z-Chefâs CafĂŠ on the lower level of Zehnderâs. Each Friday evening through Good Friday. While each menu is a bit different, they all feature Yellow Perch from the Great Lakes. Great âdate nightâ idea guys!
2.) Winterlaufe â this is Frankenmuthâs winter running event. Itâs an 8k course that winds its way in and around our beautiful city. The date is Saturday, February 4th; check the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce for details and registration. Hey hereâs an idea; come to the Friday Fish Fry on February 3rd and run it all off the next morning!
3.) Valentines Day â you know the date, Februay 14th. Bring your sweetest and have a romantic dinner at our world famous restaurant. We have a quiet booth off to the side just waiting for you. After dinner take her to our lower level and stroll Zehnderâs Marketplace; let her pick out something special. Sheâll love you for it. Reservations are just a call away at (800) 799-9630 or book online.
4.) Zehnderâs Splash Village â Wow, what a great way to splash away the winter blahs. With two indoor water parks, arcade and great food the cold and snow suddenly seem far away. Whether itâs just for the day or you need a short âstaycationâ just give us a call at (800) 863-7999 or book online.
Whatever the month or whatever the reason, my staff and I stand ready to make your visit to Zehnderâs is a memorable one.
You have my name on it!
