On June 7-8th, The Fortress hosted the Suzann Pettersen Qualifier presented by Frankenmuth Insurance, the official amateur qualifier for the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational. The winner of the tournament received an exemption into the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, an LPGA event at Midland Country Club, July 10-16th. The qualifier started with a wonderful welcome reception where players were able to hear from Suzann Pettersen and learn more about her and her career. The tournament consisted of 24 players competing for their opportunity to play along the professionals with 2 days worth of impressive golf!
Savannah Grewal of Mississauga, ON and current member of the Clemson University women’s golf team won the tournament with a 36-hole score of -3. Good luck to Savannah, we’re excited to cheer you on!
