While it doesn’t feel like it today, I know Spring is right around the corner. April is the month, with the planned opening of The Fortress, when all of our properties are open. I shouldn’t, but I’m so tempted to say we’re in full swing. Well, there it is, I said it.
With the generally mild winter, we’ve been able to work on a few improvements for our golfers. Set right at the first tee you can’t help but notice our new pavilion. Designed to be the hub for all pre and post round golf activities. A great place to grab a bite to eat, have a cold beverage and think about that short putt you missed. We’ve also began a multi-year plan to redo our cart paths. At the beginning of the 2024 season, 10 of our 18 holes should be completed.
If you happen to run into Kyle Martin, our Head Professional please congratulate him. Kyle was named, by the Michigan Section of the PGA, as the Teacher and Coach of the Year for 2024. We’re proud of his accomplishments and proud to have him on our team. I’m told he can put new life into your golf game as well!
We plan on April 15 as the start to our golf season. It’s always great to say, “Everything’s Open”.
