People Are Talking About Zehnder’s – Sharon Duerr

Nov 30, 2011

Zehnder’s has become a tradition for many families to visit during the holidays, special occasions or just because. Many of our guests have fond memories of their visits to Zehnder’s which brings them back to visit us every year.

Sharon Duerr of Westchester, Illinois began the tradition of visiting Zehnder’s in 1968 during Valentine’s Day as a gift from her late husband, Werner Duerr. During their first visit of Frankenmuth, they stayed at the Frankenmuth Hotel and Bronner’s had three buildings that were located on the corner of Tuscola and Main Street. Back then, going to dinner at Zehnder’s was a formal affair where everyone dressed up in their Sunday best and our famous Family Style Chicken Dinner was only $4.00! Upon their departure from Frankenmuth, they would also stop at the Rupprecht Sausage Company (now Willi’s Sausage Company) and purchase over $500 worth of sausage to take home.

Sharon returns to Zehnder’s every year because she has many amazing memories. The employees at Zehnder’s treat her like family and she enjoys visiting in November for her free birthday dinner as a Rewards Member. Her favorite part about Zehnder’s is that our Rewards Membership is absolutely free!

If you are not a Rewards member and would like to start creating your own memories at Zehnder’s, you can join by visiting www.zehndersrewards.com today!
