This past July, The Michigan Golf Live TV and Radio show invited their statewide audience to vote for the Hardest hole in the state (public courses only). MGL received thousands of votes from every part of Michigan and then Executive Producer Bill Hobson took the top 18 vote-receiving holes, and set out on a tour to go and play each of them, from the tips with no mulligans and no editing.
Congratulations to The Fortress hole#13 for being selected by the MGL viewers. The intimidating 443 yard, Par 4, number 1 handicap hole has water on both sides of the fairway and there seems to always be a prevailing wind from the southwest. Mr. Hobson was thrilled to hit the green in 2…and then like so many before him managed to 3-putt for a bogey. A 5 on that hole is lower than usual for the majority of our Fortress guests. Before the season ends get one last round in at the Fortress and see if you can get the best of hole 13!
