By Al Zehnder, Chairman of Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth
I was walking down the front porch of our restaurant this morning with a friend and he remarked how beautiful the flowers look. While not trying to sound too proud, I told him how important our seasonal planting is to us and the whole community.
Each year, our team from The Fortress plants over 400 flats of flowers in a general red, white and blue color palette. Hundreds of individual plants, herbs and hanging baskets at each of our properties. Everything from geraniums, alyssum, angelonia, calibrachoa (I had to look up these last two!) and everything in between. The centerpiece of our plantings is our topiary chicken ruling the roost right along Main Street in front of our flagship restaurant, Zehnder’s! The landscaping and planting is nearly complete at our newest property, The Mill at Zehnder Park. It looks great and is currently welcoming our first guests!
As you visit our beautiful community, stroll up and down our front porch and up and down Main Street, you may see one or more of our crew and the City’s crew tending to their hard work. If you have a question, please ask; they’re as proud of their work as we are.
Our entire team and our entire community stand ready to extend an enthusiastic welcome to Frankenmuth this summer. Keep up to date at www.zehnders.com. We’re blooming!
Hospitably Yours,
Al Zehnder, Chairman
