As I came in to work this morning, I drove past each of our properties. Our grounds crew, from The Fortress, were putting the finishing touches on our flower beds that generally follow a red, white and blue color palate. Over 400 flats of flowers, hundreds of individual plants, hanging baskets, and dozens of herbs. Everything from geraniums to alyssum. Each planting bed is a beautiful mix of annuals and perennials.
The centerpiece of our garden at Zehnder’s is our topiary chicken. Begun in a greenhouse in early April, it is stuffed with nearly 6,000 red and white begonias.
