August is National…Month!

I was watching the news this morning and one of the newscasters mentioned that August is National Sandwich Month. I didn’t know that sandwiches needed their own month. I thought it was pretty cool though and although we are known for our family style chicken dinners, we have some really good sandwiches. The Hazelwood is one of my favorites and one of our most popular.

I decided to look it up on the internet and found that August is host to over 87 different monthly, weekly or daily designations. The one that caught my eye was August 11 is National Sons and Daughters Day. It’s an “unofficial” national holiday. The day is designated to let your child know that you are glad that they are part of your life. It’s a day to do something special with your son or daughter. If they don’t live close, give them a call.

Zehnder’s has been in the business of serving sons and daughters since their beginning in 1856. We’d love to be part of your special day any day of the month.
Enjoy your Summer!

p.s. Apparently, August 8th is designated as “Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbors Porch Day” I never really knew what to do with all the zucchini people gave me. Now I do.

  3. My husband and I have been going to Frankenmuth and eating at Zehnder’s for over 27 years. We drive up and stay over night eating at least two chicken dinners while there, 8 times a year. We celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary and included our children, their spouses and children and ate a lot of Zehnder ‘s chicken. I, myself, have been going to Zehnder’s since I was about 25 years old and I am now 61!
