Department: Zehnder’s Splash Village
Position: Head Lifeguard
Reports To: Waterpark Supervisor
Function: Supervision of aquatic activities to ensure the safety of all participants. Provide a safe, clean, and friendly environment for Splash Village guests, and prevent accidents by responding quickly to emergencies.
Work Performed:
• Oversee all aspects of opening/closing of Splash Village during scheduled hours. Includes but is not limited to unlocking all doors, preparing daily work schedule.
• Handle all problems that may arise.
• Staffing of lifeguards on a daily basis.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of facility.
• Request supplies and equipment.
• Document, respond, and report all accidents and incidents to Water Park Aquatics Manager.
• Maintenance and water testing as needed and/or assigned.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to swim 300 yards. Ability to lift 70 lbs. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Educational Requirements: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, American Red Cross lifeguarding or another accredited organization certification (YMCA, Ellis, etc)
Other Requirement: Available to work weekends and holidays.
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
