Position: Inventory Control Clerk/Receiving Agent
Reports To: Retail Division Manager
Wage: $16 per hour
Function: Responsible for the proper receiving, accurate verification, and secure storage of all merchandise received by Zehnder’s Retail Division. Work with the Systems Coordinator and the Department Managers to ensure that an uninterrupted flow of merchandise is received within the designated departments within Zehnder’s Retail shops.
Work Performed:
Keeping and Organizing Stockroom by:
• Daily unpacking of the merchandise as it arrives.
• Rotating stock to make sure perishables are used first.
• Placement of merchandise in the proper stockroom.
• Maintain clean work area at all times.
Keeping the Floor Stocked adequately by:
• Overseeing stock personnel and that they are performing as assigned and directed.
• Ensure proper pricing of all merchandise and proper tickets are on all items.
• Monitoring expiration dates on all products.
Keeping Accurate Inventory and Cost Controls by:
• Keeping the Assistant Manager aware of current inventory levels to ensure proper seasonal reordering.
• Along with the Systems Coordinator, handles year-end inventory audit.
• Makes the Systems Coordinator aware that when merchandise received does not comply with the merchandise which was ordered: shorts, backorders, substitutions, and broken merchandise.
• Any other duties as assigned by the System Coordinator.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand continuously.
• Ability to walk and sit for extended periods of time.
• Lift minimum of 50 lbs.
Educational Requirements:
• Retail experience and ability to be cross trained.
Age Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
