I came into work this morning walking up the front porch of our flagship restaurant. Our grounds crew, from The Fortress, had just finished planting hundreds of flats of flowers. Literally thousands of flowers that generally follow a red, white and blue color palate. Everything from geraniums to alyssum. Each planting bed is a beautiful mix of annuals and perennials. The centerpiece of our garden is our topiary chicken. Begun in a greenhouse in early April, it is stuffed with nearly 6,000 red and white begonias. As I entered the restaurant, I thought to myself; we’re ready!
